This template is used by DPL to extract out-of-wiki links to external pages. When a Template:URL transclusion is present in the transcluded page, a link to the external page is returned.
Template:Category Age determines whether a red NEW appears.
Template:Local Edit tests CURRENTUSER (from extension MyVariables) to see whether a link to edit the wiki page is included.
