Recent outbreaks of measles (2019) around the world have been occurring where herd immunity (UNICEF says vaccination rates of at least 95% are needed to prevent outbreaks) does not exist.  Many of those locales have had low rates of vaccination because of anti-vaccination disinformation.  The example of American Samoa had more than 4000 cases (in a nation of 200,000) and more than 60 deaths, mostly of children under 5.  More than 190,000 died of measles worldwide in 2018.  All preventable.
