Libertarians generally base their ideas of total freedom to discriminate on imaginary ideas of absolute rights, including absolute property rights. But no real rights can be absolute, and rights conflict.  All rights have limits, and in the case of businesses (bakeries, for example), they are limited by [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_accommodations_in_the_United_States public accomodations laws.]  Even the public accommodations laws have limits where they conflict with religious freedoms.
